Duties: Vizdom Software has an opening for Software Engineer (Software Developer) in Avila Beach, CA. May be required to travel to various unanticipated sites throughout the U.S. and may telecommute. Responsible for all phases of product development along with a commitment to customer success and project schedules. Work on a full range of tasks centered on whatever it takes to meet product development commitments. Responsible for a mix of analysis, design, coding, installation, testing, documentation, support, and training. In addition, the primary objectives in this position will be to make a visible difference with the development, testing, and support for the Google Search Appliance connector for SharePoint. Use server-side Java technology stack, and with Microsoft .NET development tools, Microsoft SQL Server, and Google search technologies.

Requirements: Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering or related technical field and 5 years progressive post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or computer-related occupation.

Specific technical requirements include:

• Deployment and development with the Google Search Appliance

• Experience developing to the Google Search Appliance connector framework

• 5 years experience with SharePoint 2003, 2007, and 2010

• Experience with the SharePoint Client Object Model, SharePoint Object Model, and SharePoint Web Services

• Experience with very large document collections (10 million – 100 million documents)

• Experience with server-side Java development

• 5 years experience with C#

• 5 years experience Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server

• SQL query optimization

• Windows, Unix, and Linux.

• Background with other leading content and document management systems (Documentum, OpenText, FileNet, or Lotus Notes)
